We spent 4 nights at the Old Rectory from the 9th October, it had been recommended by a friend. Our room was very nice, it had a small but more than adequate bathroom. We had a patio area outside with views over fields. We knew before our visit that as it was out of season the restaurant would only be open for breakfasts, and what a wonderful breakfast it was, we could choose anything we wanted and it was cooked perfectly, nothing was too much trouble. Even in October the garden looked good and we loved watching the fish. It must be really beautiful in the spring and summer. Parking was really good, but we wondered how it would be in season when the restaurant is open to non-residents. It's a lovely place to stay.

This is an amazing place to have a meal indoors or outside. Staff are very friendly & may look at booking to stay there next year. The garden with its fish pond is a lovely addition & it's so relaxing.

An absolute gem of a place. Well furnished room, fully functional shower ( a good torrent rather than a sprinkler). Breakfast was well cooked and above that the hosts were marvelous. Polite, helpful, informative and went beyond to make us feel welcome .

what a pretty idylic place my husband and i with our golden retriever stayed here for three nights on 6th to 9th september. the room was immaculate very clean The housekeeping staff work so hard nothing is too much trouble for them and all the staff are very friendly and proffessional. There was a pretty patio area with seating outside our door with pretty orchard garden beyond. The traditional english breakfast was beautiful with plenty of toast n coffee we will definately be staying there again with just 10 minutes walk to brean sands Rooms: Rooms were clean, and spacious, Nearby activities: Beach was nearby, just a short walk

First the breakfast was very good and the staff were polite and helpful. The accommodation was very basic and tired it was more like a holiday camp chalet . The daily service consisted of a knock on the door asking if we required a top up/clean towels or bins emptied, definitely not a 4.5 star rating

A great little find. Sorry this is a long one can't praise this place enough. Arrived unexpectedly nearly 2 hours early ( no hold ups on the motorway) and planned to leave the car and walk to the beach, on checking in we were told our room was ready and we could book in. The room was small but adequate and was spotlessly clean. Bed was lovely and comfy, slept like a baby. Towels and bedding all smelled fresh and again were spotless. Firstly thought that it may be noisy as it backed on to the main road but didn't hear anything. Had a lovely cream tea, with warm Scones and lashings of jam and cream in the gorgeous garden with lots of lovely plants and the sound of the trickling water into the fish pond. . A pleasurable stroll to the beach which is long and clean just be aware of the signs warning about the mud. Breakfast is filling and hot and we found we didn't eat all day. The young lady who served us on Monday morning was so pleasant and cheery.
