A fantastic bit of history and a place to explore. It is run by volunteers who do an amazing job and clearly love the place. They had expert knowledge and always on hand to answer any questions. Getting to steep holm involves a 15min boat ride and then you're able to explore at your leisure. There is a lot to see and the old barracks act as a cafe and tourist shop. We'll worth the visit ✨️

A great place to visit, but not for kids. You can only visit this private island, a few days of the year from from Western-Super-Mare or Cardiff through Bay Island Voyages and due to tides you will be there for about 12h. There is a basic cafe, walks and ruined gun placements. If you visit during the nesting season an umbrella is highly recommended.
